beautiful documentary. I am still discovering and learning about abstract art, at first, I couldn't understand but it is something that is has been and still is emotive than logic. It decompresses the brain sporadically and unbinds conventional notions of what life should be as trinkets of markings exploring different realms.

people who say this didn't answer the question likely weren't paying attention because of zero attention span. this video provides a lot of definitions for what makes something a masterpiece, depending on the time period and place. it's not just one definition, it's a bunch of them. it's such a subjective and vague term that you can't exactly define it with a checklist.

Your coverage is taking no stand on standards of quality and allowing all as admissible , no matter how well done or fine ,it really is. All is not good. Most art is very poorly done. Youleave open all the possibilities for expressing one's self, ok. but that does not make it , fine art.

The fake has no soul in it. There's no need to do all these tests to find which one is the original! Putting the 2 paintings one beside the other is like a corpse on the same table with a very much alive person. P.s What bothers me the most is that their Souvenir line has the ugly fake pic on it instead of the real one which is a pleasure to look at. 🤢😖

Is not rare that the art speaks a lot about the artist? If you know the artist that created the art is not real how can't you see that the art they've created is fake.

Going by this sentiment, laughing at and ridiculing performance art, is as much part of the act as every "respectful" audience member. I came here to learn a bit about this strange topic, and i believe i did. Nothing profound. But if the mention about mundane things possibly being art as well is sincere. well

I have taken Realism to a new place ever since I could paint. All my fantasy art has the qualities of photo-realism. People, Items, mythical people and backgrounds are completely realistic. In effect I present an actual photograph, evidence of an event that occurred "somewhere else".

My museum experiences have varied depending on who I was with or what museum I was going to. I have had both great and bad experiences at museums. Do - 1. Research before you go- What artists will be showcased? Is there something you're looking forward to most? 2. Eat and hydrate before going, this may seem like common sense but it makes a huge difference going on a full vs. empty stomach. 3. Go slow and try to connect to the art. If there's a specific piece that you keep thinking about, go back and view it again. Don'ts - 1. Don't be afraid to share your space - be conscious and respectful to others visiting the museum but don't feel like you need to move on to to the next piece because someone new arrives. 2. Don't go with people who will rush you. It's better to go alone than to be rushed through the exhibit.

Not sure you were explaining Minimalism, but rather just talking about it. What Minimalism is really about seems to be a well kept secret that few understand and because of that misunderstanding a lot of ideas and images get thrown into the caldron, stirred vigorously and presented as tasteful facts. Yum, good .

from what i can tell, there is not an artist in this particular discussion. it is said, “the insignificant one-the one who knows he is a peasant, a commoner-will judge the morals of the great-the artist, the philosopher, the king: for the commoner must feel powerful, and his power is to desecrate the legacy of the great.” or, in other words, “those not born to create, are destined to destroy the creations of those greater than themselves.” ie. people who have no mind, no soul, no individuality, no understanding, no depth, no uniqueness-people who will never create, who will be forgotten-these are the people to whom the great hand their legacy-and in their hands the great are tarnished by hypocrites and fools.

as a performance artist, i feel we get to much of a bad reputation for being the "weird artsy lot" but in most cases were just going against the grain me personally: my performances are about showing that tedious boredom is important societally, i perform by just sitting in a lawn chair reading a book, thats all, and the message im trying to get across is that society relies to heavily on gimmicks and hooks to draw attention, bright lights loud noises and fancy graphics are all we need to be interested, whereas all i do is be myself, tedious and boring, which is the reality we try to avoid, most of our lives are dull and uneventful which is why we admire fancy things, its an anti societal statement about technological development slowly eroding away what makes us individual

As an artist, im finding it difficult to separate the artist with their art, any art, music photography. Anytime I find out something horrible or whatever, about my favourite artists, i literally get cross and a bit overwhelmed. My art therapist is helping me through this. I never realized how difficult it is. That old saying "never meet your idols" i remember meeting a comic book artist i really liked and when talking with him he was really disgruntled and nasty. I gave him the benefit of the doubt. Year later, maybe two years later, I went to talk with the same artist and he still was a nasty, pretentious f@!#!😅 Seriously. I stopped buying his books and never look at his art anymore. Same with music. I used to love led Zeppelin, then after finding out about jimmy page stealing music and being a pedo.. dating a groupie 13-14 years old..i was the hell with him and his band/music....like bloody hell man.. you can date any woman, why a teen.

Rauschnberg is my favourite artist. I have q few, basquiat another, but Robert raunchenberg is absolutely brilliant. As an artist/ illustrator i use some of his techniques in my drawings. Dave McKean Bill sienkiewicz, David mack all these artist ( comic book artist) inspired me to draw when i was younger (im 48) then i found raunchenberg when i went to art collage. Those comic book artist were all inspired by rauchenberg. His art just gives me the chills when i see it...smh he was uncanny.

The artist painting people with faces straight and looking foward.Where are the angles or the subject looking in the distance? Reminds me of arrest photos, front view. His underlying message maybe he's caged or slaved to this style. Then again he is knowingly making him self famous for the pictures who stare.

Now if you presented the other side of the case so we could fairly judge it would be interesting. Like how she was a clout chaser, trying to chase Paul before he rejected her and she went on to date John. How she still keeps John's blood stained glasses as an art exhibit, and would likely have kept his corpse as well if she could wring any amount of money out of it. Without Johns publicity boost she might have been a footnote in a 1960s hippy art book, but when she finally succeeded in worming her way into the public conciousness most people saw her for the vile piece of shit that she is and will be remembered as.
